What’s up with New Wave Knitting?
New Wave Knitting isn’t your average knitting blog.
There are tons of knitting content out there that focuses on the technical aspects of knitting (which is totally cool and SO helpful), but NWK is taking a different approach to talking about knitting.
While we do talk tips and tricks sometimes, we also love chatting about the big ideas surrounding the craft and the community!

I’m the person behind New Wave Knitting!
I taught myself to knit when I was 10 years old, and from then on, I have always had a project going. Until 2021, those projects were mostly different versions of squares, with some hat and sock patterns thrown in, but it was the act of knitting itself that mattered most. Knitting and other fiber arts have forever been my creative outlet and therapeutic practice.
Starting in 2021, I began getting more involved with knitting and was both impressed and enamored with the positive knitting community. By making connections with fellow crafters and test knitting for designers, I became inspired to make my own knit designs and resources, as well as to create a space that allows for further community building.
